1996 LHD Porsche 993 BiTurbo 4WD GT2 originally purchased by previous Owner in 2000 with 19,000 kilometers.  Arena Red with black leather interior and custom carbon package.

Special order for U.A.E. market Client, (see Arabic door plate), the car started out life as a new C4S that was factory modified by Porsche Engineers to Le Mans GT 2 Spec, including composite riveted-on extended wheel arches, split front spoiler and adjustable rear stabilizer, aluminum hood and door panels reducing curb weight by approx 500 lbs and providing a very impressive power:weight ratio compared to a standard C4S.

The Factory Standard very highly sought after 993 GT2 ( believed less than 50 made), was rear-wheel drive only, and was itself built by Porsche Engineers on the standard C2S anyway. So as far as the Owner we are purchasing this from can tell, this is the only all-wheel drive 993 GT2 in existence.  The Owner has liaised several times in the past with the factory about this Unique car and they remember building it with a host of accessories not part of the GT2 road version package:

Sun roof

Air-conditioning

Cruise control

Original Becker CR-31 CD/cassette Radio with

Full surround-sound Bose speaker system

Electric windows and seats

Rear window defrost and wiper

It would seem illogical to us, to Order the ULTIMATE 993, which is stripped down to the bare bones for Racing Aspects, and then to add all these Extras, as per a normal Porsche. Although it would seem quite Logical for an Eccentric UAE Buyer who wants to cruise the Streets of Dubai, or Kuwait, or Abu Dhabi, etc, etc, in intense heat and heavy traffic, with all the Mod-Cons Luxury of Air-Con, Sound System and what have you; at the same time of owning the most devastating Porsche at that time!

The car has been fitted with Liptronic H1 headlamps and the original BBS center lock wheels (with lug nut holes), the Owner replaced these with custom center-lock Kinesis wheels.  Current mileage is 87,000 kilometers.  The turbos were replaced at around 60,000 KM.
